The mission of ALZCOG Therapeutics is to apply recent advances in science, nanotechnology, and medicine to produce tools to diagnose and treat brain differences for optimal cognitive benefit for the end user (the patient) as well as meet the needs of a new technology to improve the researcher's or clinicians ability to diagnose and treat brain differences in a expeditious fashion that is fiscally conservative. Our imaging technology is intended to assist them with finding a cure (or remission of) AD or other neurodegenerative disorders.

In fact this focus led us to name our company ALZCOG, which is a combination of the first three letters contained in two words: Alzheimer's and cognition, since AD has its most devastating effects on metal facilities such as cognition and memory. A number of neurological diseases share aspects that make them especially promising candidates for our approach.

Our technology will yield an imaging tool, which provides a much more extensive and complete picture of disease pathology and treatment effects than current medical imaging approaches currently available. In consequence, we hope and expect that it will substantially help patients. Some applications of our technology might include early detection of a disease process before the full clinical picture emerges and prediction of its likeliest course in an afflicted individual. It should also prove useful as a sensitive and specific index of the progress of the disease and its response to treatments.
